Petfinder
Petfinder is an on-line, searchable database of animals that need homes. It is also a directory of over 10,000 animal shelters and adoption organizations across the USA, Canada and Mexico. Organizations maintain their own home pages and available pet database. From the comfort of their personal computers, pet lovers can search for a pet that best matches their needs. They can then reference a shelter's Web page and discover what services it offer. Petfinder also includes classified ads, discussion forums and a library of animal welfare articles. Petfinder is updated DAILY.

Underdog Rescue of Minnesota
2919 Ottawa Ave. * St. Louis Park, MN 55416 * 952-929-0777 * Email
Underdog Rescue and Placement was founded in 2000 by Shannon McKenzie, its current Executive Director. Having volunteered for several other animal rescue organizations, Shannon saw a need to help the dogs and cats often overlooked by other rescuers, the "under-dogs." Our very first rescues included a pair of black kittens named Fenway & Wrigley, a little “Pit Bull” puppy named Lucy and a tiny Toy Poodle named Lily (who was suffering from a head injury). No other rescue groups would take Fenway or Wrigley because black kittens are often overlooked by potential adopters, and, up until the time we rescued Lucy, rescue groups had not been allowed to rescue any dog considered to be a “Pit Bull” from Minneapolis Animal Control. We are always in need of foster homes! Also, any donation, no matter how small, helps and is appreciated! Thank you!
